Payroll managers faced with the daunting prospect of implementing new pension auto enrolment changes coming into effect can now send pension information at the click of a button with the latest version of Equator HR software from K3 Syspro.

The latest updates to the software have been designed to make it easy for payroll managers to send information to a number of pension providers across the UK without leaving the system and without any additional integration or third party software. With more than 1.8 million small businesses required to set up a workplace pension scheme by 2018, Equator HR is set to reduce administration times, overheads, and errors associated with manually administering auto-enrolment, to make it a single, seamless process.

Auto enrolment has been one of the biggest changes to impact the HR industry in recent years, with some 5.3 million workers already being fully enrolled by March 2015. However, the real test for the initiative is yet to come, with more than one million smaller employees yet to reach their staging dates, according to the latest information released by the Pensions Regulator. It is widely accepted that smaller businesses will require the most support to prepare for auto-enrolment.

Tommy Hynes, Business Development at K3 Syspro, the company behind Equator HR, said that the improvements made in the latest update are designed to help all sizes and types of business.

At K3 Syspro we are constantly looking for ways to improve our software to ensure we fulfil the needs of our customers and keep ahead of legislative changes within HR and payroll,” he commented.

“Pension auto enrolment is a huge change for all sizes of business to keep up with and we are trying to take away the headaches with our solution. We’ve listened to the requests and requirements of our user community and implemented many of the enhancements that they have been asking for over the last few months. The result is an end-to-end HR solution that takes away time, overheads and confusion to HR managers.”

Further updates to the solution include the addition of enhanced reporting options which provide the ability to create instant in-depth reports from virtually any data source, which can be viewed in web view thanks to one-click reporting. Improved BACS payment facilities, P11D processing and event management modules have also been added to create an end-to-end HR solution.

A long time user of Equator HR software, Carol Wilson, Managing Director at Greenpay Payroll Bureau commented: “The pension facility within Equator certainly alleviates the pain associated with implementing Auto Enrolment and is a speedy way to fulfil our Auto Enrolment responsibilities. The reason we invested in the solution in the first place was because we identified that it provides us with a fully end-to-end HR solution.
