Advanced Equator HR software takes new pension legislation in its stride

Payroll managers struggling to introduce new pension auto enrolment legislation into their payment processes have been given a helping hand by K3 as its advanced HR business system, Equator is updated to accommodate changes in law.

K3’s technical team has updated the Equator payroll module to handle all of the latest legislative requirements for pension auto enrolment payments without the need for additional third party software.

As part of the process for payroll managers and staff to more fully understand the changes in legislation and what that means for the pensions payment process, K3 held a series of seminars in September for customers in the Midlands and Manchester areas. K3’s technical team discussed the re-brand of Equator and explained the benefits and features of the latest Equator updates

The relaunch follows on the back of further changes to Equator to offer an electronic payslip service to firms, providing them with the opportunity to use the internet to deliver payslips and P60 end-of-year certificates to employees electronically.

The company believes that its Equator solution, which achieved the status of HMRC full accreditation last year, is a complete single solution to all company payroll processes.

The Equator payroll module is part of a suite of fully integrated HR modules, including shop floor data capture, time and attendance and personnel management. Fully developed by the K3’stechnical team, the solution is already used by hundreds of companies throughout the UK and has been providing companies across a wide range of industry sectors with a fully integrated HR solution since its initial release to market in 1981. It can be fully integrated with most ERP software solutions and is available either as a built-in software suite or as discrete modules, on premise or deployed from the secure K3 Cloud. The HR system allows data to be captured electronically in real time, using devices including barcodes, proximity tags, biometric readers and touch screen solutions.

Tommy Hynes, Business Development Manager for K3’s Equator division said: “We are constantly evolving our equator software and making sure that it stays up-to-date with changes in HR and payroll legislation. Today, the software is as useful and functional as it has ever been. It already covers tasks like recruitment, training, health and safety, payroll and personnel to provide HR departments with a single solution and we are adding to this functionality all the time to ensure that Equator users are continuing to get the best out of their initial software investment. ”
